WOMEN IN THE NAACP (WIN)
Is an official committee of the National Association for The Advancement of Colored People. Its purposes are to:
These concerns may be issues of relationships, teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and other health care concerns, drug abuse, single households, senior citizens, crime and violence, and building self-esteem. WIN also sponsors workshops and other activities to address these issues.
WIN AND THE NAACP ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Each Region has a coordinator designated as a Regional (Vice) Coordinator. All State Conferences designate a WIN State Chairperson and all local branches are strongly encouraged to establish a WIN Chapter.
MEMBERSHIP - WIN membership is open to any person who is a bona fide member of the NAACP. Members may be men and women of all races, creeds and national origins and join by payment of the WIN annual membership fee of $10.00.
